Abstract

2-(4,3-Disubstituted phenyl)-5-alkyl-1,3,2-dioxaborinane derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## wherein A is --OR', --CN, ##STR2## X,Y being simultaneously or independently H, F, Cl, R, R' standing for an alkyl radical of a normal structure, comprising from 1 to 7 carbon atoms, as components for a liquid crystal material. A liquid crystal material comprises at least two components, of which one is a compound of said formula, taken in an amount of from 3 to 75 percent by mass.
