Compounds of the formula ##STR1## and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts wherein Z completes a cycloalkyl ring, a substituted cycloalkyl ring, a cycloalkenyl ring, a substituted cycloalkenyl ring or a saturated heteroalkyl ring; R.sub.2 is lower alkyl, aralkyl or aminoalkyl and X is an amino or imino acid. The compounds possess angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition activity.
