Abstract
An improved asphalt composite utilizes a mixture of asphalt and a lossy microwave absorptive material normally in a granular form and dispersed homogeneously throughout the asphalt matrix. The use of a microwave material, particularly one having a Curie temperature in the range of about 100.degree. C., enhances removal, reconditioning and reforming the asphalt during patching or repair operations which rely upon microwave radiation heating.
