Abstract

Provided herein is a comound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 alkyl group; R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, methyl group, or trifluoromethyl group at the o- or m-position; R.sup.3 is a halogen atom, methyl group, or trifluoromethyl group; and X is an oxygen or sulfur atom. It has an outstanding herbicidal effect and selectivity for crop plants and weeds. It is useful as a herbicide.
