Abstract
A sulfonamide compound and a salt thereof is represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein each of X.sub.1, X.sub.2, and X.sub.3 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, each of Y.sub.1, Y.sub.2, and Y.sub.3 independently represents a halogen atom, and R represents a methyl group or a methoxy group, and is effective as an active ingredient of a herbicidal composition.
