Abstract

A toner for electrophotographs which is prepared by mixing thermoplastic resin core particles (A) having an average size of from 1 to 15 .mu.m with a colorant (B) and without or together with at least one of additives in a finely particulate form while applying mechanical strain force to the whole under such conditions that the average size of the resulting toner particles is in the range of 1-20 .mu.m whereby the colorant (B) and the other necessary fine particles are embedded substantially as primary particles in the resin core particles (A). A process for production of the toner is also disclosed.
