Abstract

Erythromycin derivatives represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom or a hydroxy group, R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkanoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group or an alkylsuccinyl group, and the salts thereof are disclosed. These compounds have antibacterial activity.
