Abstract
A voice-coil linear actuator is embodied wherein the coil-driving structure is coupled to the driven structure (carriage) via a visco-elastic couple member (e.g., elastomeric bonding tape) that changes from an efficient motion-transmitter, at 'operating' coil-generated vibration frequencies, to a poor motion-transmitter/good isolator (mechanical filter) at high frequencies, corresponding to resonant or other deleterious vibration.
