Abstract
A process in disclosed for the multiple graining of aluminum or aluminum alloys for use in printing plate supports. In the process, mechanical graining is followed by graining with a direct current in a nitrate-containing electrolyte. Optionally, the graining is followed by an anodizing treatment.
