Abstract

The invention relates to techniques for surface deionization of glass under the effect of a corona discharge. The invention consists of treating the object which is movable in relation to the electrodes situated at a short distance from said object which is brought to a high temperature. The treatment is carried out under a continuous current which is regulated in intensity. The treatment is accordance with the invention is preferably applied to sheets of glass during their production.
