Abstract

A silver halide photographic material for use in a bright room is disclosed comprising a support having thereon at least two silver halide emulsion layers, each of the emulsion layers having a different sensitivity and comprising silver chloride grains or silver chlorobromide grains having at least about 80 mol % silver chloride, each of the silver halide emulsions layers containing from about 1.times.10.sup.-7 mol to about 1.times.10.sup.-4 mol of a rhodium salt per mol of silver, wherein the sensitivity of the lower emulsion layer (the emulsion layer coated nearer to the support) is higher than the sensitivity of the upper emulsion layer (the emulsion layer coated farther from the support) and at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers or different hydrophilic colloid layers contains a hydrazine derivative and at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers of different hydrophilic colloid layers contains a dry compound having a .sup..lambda. max of from about 400 nm to about 550 nm.
