Abstract
Disclosed are homogeneous blends comprising (a) a poly(alkylene terephthalate) and (b) a sufficient amount of a crystalline polyamide to impart enhanced crystallization velocity to said polyalkylene terephthalate. The crystalline polyamide comprises a narrow class of aromatic-aliphatic polyamides prepared from 4,4'-methylenebis(phenyl isocyanate) and a small group of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids. the poly(alkylene terephthalates) are characterized by enhanced crystallization rates which lead to a number of improved properties over the base polyester.
