Abstract

Fluoroalkyl-substituted quinoline derivatives of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is chlorine, fluorine, hydroxyl, O.sup..crclbar. Met.sup..sym., C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or a radical of the formula ##STR2## R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently of one another are each hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -fluoroalkyl, R.sup.4 is fluorine, chlorine or bromine, with the proviso that one or both of the radicals R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -fluoroalkyl, herbicides containing these compounds as active ingredients, and their use for controlling unwanted plant growth.
