Abstract
To prepare a highly effective foam inhibitor mixture consisting of paraffin hydrocarbons, hydrophobicized silica and liquid paraffin hydrocarbons, a finely divided silica is dispersed in paraffin hydrocarbons melting above 40.degree. C. and reacted with alkyl trichlorosilanes wherein the alkyl groups contain from 4 to 22 carbon atoms.
