Abstract

Novel compounds which, in the form of the free acid, are of the formula 1 ##STR1## where X is chlorine or fluorine and R is hydrogen, vinylsulfonylphenyl, .beta.-sulfatoethylsulfonylphenyl, vinylsulfonylbenzyl, sulfophenyl or .beta.-sulfatoethylsulfonylbenzyl, are particularly suitable for dyeing cotton.
