Abstract

A vacuum switch tube wherein at least one part which separates the interior of the tube from the environment is soldered to the housing of a vacuum switch tube so as to be vacuum-tight with a soft solder 6 which has a melting point which lies below 400.degree. C. The invention is suitable for vacuum switch tubes which do not have a pump stem, and particularly for protected tubes.
