Abstract
The invention relates to platelet-shaped pigments of the formula Al.sub.x Fe.sub.2-x O.sub.3-y, wherein x has a value from 0.02 to 0.5 and y has a value from 0.3 to 1.0, which are optionally coated with further oxides.
