Abstract

A ski boot having a rigid shell bass on which a cuff is journalled to pivot around a transverse axis, and flexion means for affecting the flexional characteristics of the cuff. The flexion means is formed of a spring member positioned between the cuff and the shell base. The spring member is positioned to at least partially extend around the instep of the boot and has no attachment point in the region adjacent to the journal axis.
