Abstract

A two component disinfecting and cleaning system for contact lenses comprising a first component containing a peroxo compound and an alkyl glucoside and a second component containing an H.sub.2 O.sub.2 -neutralilzing agent and a buffer salt in an amount sufficient to adjust the pH of an aqueous contact lens solution containing the first and second components to about 7.
