Abstract
A disc accommodation tray (T) and a disc player (P) employing such a tray for an optical disc system, etc. employing circular discs (1) are provided. The accommodation tray had (T), at least one engaging or retaining portion (9, 10, 11, 12) elastically clamping the disc (1), and a hole or opening (13, 14) through which a turntable (17) is inserted. Thus, it is possible to mount the tray (T) onto the disc player (P), with the disc (1) accommodated in the tray (T), and to dismount the tray (T) from the disc player (P), with the disc (1) accommodated in the tray (T).
