Abstract
7,7,8,8-Tetracyanoquinodimethane-2,5-ylene-(3-propionic acid) and derivatives thereof represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each hydrogen or alkyl. The compounds are useful as materials for preparing polyesters, polyamides and polyurethanes or as intermediates for tetracyanoquinodimethanes for use as organic semiconductors.
