Abstract
An electronic game simulates a shove-a-coin game by causing successive illumination of lights on a display, which simulates movement of a coin, in response to the activation of a control button. The final position of the 'coin' relative to a scale is determined by the speed, or total distance of movement, of the button, and that final position determines the result of the game, which may be indicated by suitable indicators adjacent the scale. The control of the movement of the 'coin' is such that, for speeds or distances of movement of the button less than a first value, the 'coin' does not move, whereas for speeds or distances of movement of the button greater than a second value, the 'coin' moves to an end position, corresponding to a losing result. Thus the skill of the game is to activate the button by the right amount to cause the 'coin' to move to a winning position at some intermediate point along the scale.
