Abstract
A method for the production of 2,3,4,5-tetrafluorobenzoic acid, which comprises effecting said production by decarbonating 3,4,5,6-tetrafluorophthalic acid in an aqueous medium adjusted to a pH in the range of 0.7 to 2.2 at a temperature in the range of 100.degree. to 220.degree. C.
