Abstract
A lamella type, single phase liquid crystal composition is prepared from a hydrophilic nonionic surfactant, a water-soluble substance having a hydroxyl group in a molecule thereof, an oil substance, and water. Oil-base cosmetic compositions including cleansing compositions, massage creams or drugs for external application are incorporated with the liquid crystal. The compositions are readily washed off simply by water, and exhibit good properties of non-stickiness and long storage stability.
