Abstract

The invention relates to a cosmetic composition for combating the greasy appearance of hair. This composition is characterized in that it contains an active product consisting of a particular polymer derived from chitosan comprising 0 to 30% by weight of units (A), 5 to 50% by weight of units (B), 30 to 90% by weight of units (C), or alternatively preferably 0 to 20% by weight of units (A), 40 to 50% by weight of units (B), 40 to 50% by weight of units (C.sub.1) below; ##STR1## The use of the composition makes it possible to delay the onset of the greasy appearance of the hair.
