Abstract

New substrates for .gamma.-glutamyltransferase (.gamma.-GT) are disclosed. These subtrates are useful in the colorimetric determination of .gamma.-GT since the cleavage of the .gamma.-glutamyl group produces a detectable species--an aminostyrylquinolinium dye.
