Abstract

The invention relates to pyrrolinones of formula (1) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl group containing at least 2 carbon atoms, an aralkyl group, an isocyclic or heterocyclic aromatic radical and R is an alkyl or aryl group. The invention also relates to aminodicarboxylates of formula (2) ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 is a defined in claim 1 and R and R' are the same or different and are alkyl or aryl. The aminodicarboxylates of formula (2) are prepared by condensing a disuccinate of the formula
