Abstract

An intimate mixture comprising (A) a substantially linear aromatic polyazole and (B) a sparingly crystallizable aromatic copolyamide having a glass transition temperature of at least 200.degree. C. and a flow initiation temperature of not more than 500.degree. C. in such proportions represented by A/(A+B)=0.15-0.70 by weight, and a process for producing the intimate mixture, which comprises dissolving the aromatic polyazole (A) and the aromatic copolyamide (B) in a weight ratio represented by A/(A+B)=0.15-0.70 in a common solvent, and forming an intimate mixture of the aromatic polyazole (A) and the aromatic copolyamide (B) from the solution using a coagulating agent.
