Abstract
A water repellent composition comprising an emulsion prepared by emulsifying in water (A) a wax having a melting point of from 40.degree. to 90.degree. C. and (B) an olefin-maleic anhydride derivative in the presence of (C) a water-soluble alkaline compound and/or a nonionic emulsifier.
