Abstract
To produce scratch-resistant coatings, a lacquer which has been obtained by ydrolytic polycondensation of at least one titanium or zirconium compound, at least one organofunctional silane and, if appropriate, at least one inorganic oxide component is applied to a substrate and the resulting coating is hardened by heating.
