Abstract
Imides of the formula I ##STR1## in which E is allyl or methallyl, R is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, benzyl, alkylene or arylene, and n is 1 or 2, are intermediates for the preparation of crosslinked polymers having excellent physical properties. The polymers can be used, in particular, for the preparation of glass fibre-reinforced and carbon fibre-reinforced plastics and heat-resistant composite materials, and as electrical insulation materials and whirl-sintered powder paints.
