Abstract

A dye-receiving element and process for producing a high-security, monolithic identification card, the element comprising a support having thereon a dye image-receiving layer adapted to receive a thermally-transferred dye image, the dye image-receiving layer containing indicia printed thereon approximately 40-120 .mu.m in width.
