Abstract
A cholesteric liquid crystal polyester consisting essentially of structural units represented by the following formulae (A), (B) and (C): ##STR1## which is optically active; and ##STR2## wherein X is hydrogen, halogen, or alkyl having not more than four carbon atoms.
