Abstract
Fibers of narrow cross section for use in tobacco filters composed of cellulose acetate fibers in which the fiber cross section is in a rectangular configuration and the longer/shorter diameter ratio thereof is greater than 5.5. Filters of high filtering performance can be manufactured with a relatively small fiber filling rate.
