Abstract

Phenylacetic acid derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or ##STR2## wherein R.sup.5 is an alkyl group of 1-6 carbon atoms or an aryl group; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are independently hydrogen or an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms; R.sup.4 is hydrogen or an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms, have been found to possess immunomodulating activity.
