Abstract
An incandescent electric lamp includes an envelope with a wall having an inner and an outer curved surfaces. An incandescent filament is located within the envelope. A device is provided to connect the incandescent filament to a source of electrical power to cause it to incandesce. The curved inner surface of the envelope is defined by a plurality of interconnecting, substantially flat chord surfaces interposed to each other at an angle.
