Abstract
The present invention relates, by way of a new industrial product, to an acetohydroxamic acid derivative, namely 2-(5-chloro-4-nitro-2-methoxybenzamido)acetohydroxamic acid. This product is useful in therapy, in particular as a sedative. It can be prepared by reacting NH.sub.2 OH with a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 lower alkyl 5-chloro-4-nitro-2-methoxybenzamidoacetate.
