Abstract
An opto-magnetic recording medium comprises a transparent plastic substrate, a magnetic recording layer provided on the plastic substrate, and two or more thin film layers provided between the plastic substrate and the magnetic recording layer and decreasing the reflectance of the magnetic recording layer for a light entering from the substrate side. At least one of the thin film layers except the layer which is in contact with the plastic substrate is formed of Si.sub.3 N.sub.4.
