Abstract
The subject invention provides an autofluorography kit composition comprising (i) a first aqueous solution of a water soluble fluor having a formula selected from R--CO.sub.2 --X; R--SO.sub.3 --X; and R--NH.sub.3 --Y; where X and Y are any counterion capable of imparting water solubility, and R is a fluor molecule; and (ii) a second aqueous solution of a precipitator capable of precipitating the water soluble fluor in an electrophoresis gel matrix.
