Abstract
Pharmaceutical compositions containing an oxaluric acid derivative of the formula: ##STR1## wherein each of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which may be the same or different, is hydrogen; an alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group; or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are joined to form a heterocyclic ring with the nitrogen atom to which they are both attached; and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or an alkyl group. These compounds have excellent hypoglycemic effects with low toxcicity and safety.
