Flavouring and perfume compositions, flavoured foodstuffs and luxury consumables and perfumed products which contain (+)-spathulenol and/or (+)-4a-allospathulenol, having respective structural formulae ##STR1## as the base material (+)-4a-allospathulenol per se and a process for the preparation of these spathulenols.
