Abstract
Indanyl compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine, is useful in the treatment of inflammatory and allergic diseases are prepared by fermenting indanyl compounds of the formula ##STR2## with a culture of Aspergillus niger or Polyporus tulipiferus.
