Abstract
The invention is the process which comprises contacting a reaction mixture comprising between about 1 and 100 percent by weight of a polyethylene-substituted piperazine, a piperazine or mixtures thereof, wherein such compounds contain a primary or secondary nitrogen wherein one of the carbons adjacent to the nitrogen has a hydrogen atom bonded to the carbon atom, and between about 1 and 99 percent of a solvent, with a catalytic amount of palladium on a support, at a temperature of between about 150.degree. C. and 300.degree. C., under condition such that the product so prepared contains polyethylene polypiperazines.
