Abstract
Phenylquinoxaline monomers of the formula Ar--C.tbd.C--Pq--C.tbd.C--Ar are disclosed, wherein Pq is ##STR1## wherein X is a single bond, --O--, --S--, --SO.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 --, --CO--, --OC.sub.6 H.sub.4 O--, --OC.sub.6 H.sub.4 --C.sub.6 H.sub.4 --O--, --OC.sub.10 H.sub.6 O-- or --OC.sub.6 H.sub.4 SO.sub.2 C.sub.6 H.sub.4 O--; and wherein Ar is an aromatic ether or thioether. These monomers can be crosslinked to provide thermoset resins of the formula ##STR2## wherein Pq and Ar are as defined above and n has a value between 2 and 3.
