Abstract

Polyester polyols corresponding to the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, Z, x, A.sub.1, A.sub.2, A.sub.3, A.sub.4, A.sub.5, A.sub.6, A.sub.7 and A.sub.8 each represent specified groups or values are made by reacting (a) a dicarboxylic acid or derivative thereof or anhydride thereof with (b) a tris-alkanolamine and/or tetrakis-alkanol diamine. These polyester polyols are particularly useful in the production of polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams.
