Abstract
A lens mount arrangement in which at least a pair of sliding cylindrical barrels are slidable relative to one another, which lens mount is manufactured using an inexpensive and simple process, yet the amount of sound generated during a sliding movement is significantly reduced. In accordance with an important feature of the invention, machining lead angles of the pair of sliding cylindrical surfaces are made different from each other. The lead angles may be made different in direction, or they can have the same direction but differ by at least 10.degree. from one another.
