Abstract
Silyl polyamides are prepared by reacting a silyl anhydride or imide, preferably a polysiloxane anhydride, with a lactam such as .epsilon.-caprolactam. The preferred materials are in the nature of A-B or A-B-A block polyamide polysiloxanes. They may be used as elastomers and adhesives or, in certain instances, in the formation of thermoset compositions.
