Abstract
A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed which has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, said silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one magenta coupler having the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a tertiary alkyl group; R.sub.2 is a secondary or tertiary alkyl group; X is a leaving group other than a hydrogen atom that leaves upon reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent.
