Abstract

A method for imparting non-comedogenicity to a cosmetic composition which comprises incorporating into a cosmetic composition a predetermined amount of an ester of ricinoleic acid to act as an emollient, said ricinoleic acid ester having the formula ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 is a straight or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl group having between one and 40 carbon atoms;
