Abstract

The compounds of formula I, ##STR1## wherein the substituents have various significances, and physiologically hydrolyzable derivative thereof having at least one hydroxy group in esterified form, are useful as cardioselective .beta.-adrenoceptor blocking and cardiotonic agents.
